a.
Mike
O’Day – Football schedules are out. All changes to Mike ASAP.
b.
Tom
Conte & Mike O’Day – Both have info from the National Convention available
if you want them to copy for you. Has
good information on Pay to Play, Assessments, Strategic Plans, and Action
plans. Contact him if you want info.

Section
I meeting went well at the Convention.
·
New
LTC courses are available and can be found on-line
·
He
is still working on a couple of different options for the March conference.
·
NIAAA
has a great website – Sect 1 is having a LTC Course weekend at the Cape – Aug
8-11. There is a Feb 1 deadline for
rooms. Contact Mike or www.section1niaaa.org
for more information.
·
There
will be new requirements for the CMA & CAA starting in Jan 2005.
·
There
is a Section I meeting in Rockland, ME. Mike is going. If anyone wants to go
with him, please let him know. VT will
host the annual meeting in 2008.
·
Section
I is going to publish a professional magazine dedicated to helping out NE
athletic directors.
·
Next
year’s national conference is in New Orleans.
·
LTC
506 is available on-line
·
Please
think about dates you would like to host for the spring
·
Cost
of clinics will go up in April 2004 to $95 for FA & $105 for CP
·
Need
to discuss re-certification process at March meeting.
·
Conference
will be Mon, March 15-Tues, March 16.
Early registration - $100 commuter, $160 overnight. Register before Feb 15. If you have roundtable discussion items
please see Mike or Dan.

Speakers
are all set.
·
If
you have any exhibitors who would like to set up a table, please have them
contact Ed Hockenbury. Cost is $175 per
vendor and it is a major fundraiser for the VSADA.
·

Motion to investigate the possibility of inviting all of the nominees in 2005. Would need to increase room size and review day of event (not connected to the Conference). Discussion – Mary Stetson suggested keeping it on the same night because it really makes a difference to the kids. Need to look at getting a bigger room to accommodate everyone.

meeting is in Middlebury on Jan 29 and 30th.

Topics
to discuss are baseball/softball committees are asking for a waiver of the
mouthguard rule.
·
Home-school
student regulations are going to be tightened.
·
Spring
football will be discussed (O’Day will do a presentation) and voted on.
·
Basketball
survey has gone out by email. Please return your responses ASAP.
·
When
filling out Tournament applications please use first name first.
·
Boys
D 1 and Girls D1 basketball finals will probably be played on Friday night at
UVM. UVM is holding out giving us an
exact answer while they wait to find out the status of hockey playoffs.

committee will finalize proposal and talk about stipend for final proposal to
group in March.

Tournament
game program ads are due February 7th. www.vsada.org for more
information on deadlines etc.

Team
pictures for D1 Girls and Boys Basketball and all Ice Hockey are due Feb 7th. Can be emailed or sent to Mike O’Day. Please
use B&W because color photos don’t work well.
·
AD
HOC IRS Committee (Jeanne Hulsen) report.
At the meeting it was confirmed that officials are independent
contractors and need to report their earnings.
Schools should have W9’s on file for each official. The Committee is working on a list of
suggested guidelines and recommendations as to how we should implement tracking
$.
·
Basically,
schools will have to track all $ paid to officials and game staff and report
any earnings over $600.
·

that.
