VI. NIAAA/CAA Report:
Mike O’Day
- National
conference is December 12-16, 2003 in Indiana. Contact nfhs.org website for more information
- NIAAA
has a great website – Sect 1 is having a LTC Course weekend at the Cape –
Aug 8-11. There is a Feb 1
deadline for rooms. Contact Mike or www.section1niaaa.org
for more information.
VII. LTC Report: Tim
Brown
- Tim
attended the LTC Conference and brought back some good information.
Biggest thing is that our LTC activities are very small in scale to most
states. He encouraged us all to
take more courses.
VIII. ASEP Report: Bruce Wheeler
- Clinics
are going well
- Please
think about dates you would like to host for the spring
- Cost
of clinics will go up in April 2004 to $95 for FA & $105 for CP
- All instructors
will need to be re-certified and ACEP is working on a deal with Gatorade
to finance this project.
- Questions
about certification and equivalences should go to Bruce Wheeler.
- Bruce
will forward his winter contact information ASAP.
- The
ASEP committee has recommended to the VPA that we continue to use ASEP as
a certification process. Recert
and initial certification will be available online hopefully by
February. Online cost will be
$95. In person costs for FA-$95,
CP-$105. VT ASCP will start recertification
of instructors this winter.
- Brian
Trottier brought a form to be used to recertify coaches. Please take a look at it and give
suggestions to Jeff Stetson by Christmas.
Committee was asked to continue their work on the draft. Committee is made up for Jeff Stetson,
Mike Brown, Bob Hingston. Please
forward any suggestions to them.
- Updated
form will be available at the January meeting.

IX. VSADA Conference: Mike O’Day & Dan Marlow
- Dan
and Mike passed out proposed schedule for Conference. Contact Mike O’Day for a copy of the
proposed agenda. Conference will
be Mon, March 15-Tues, March 16.
Early registration - $100 commuter, $160 overnight. Register before Feb 15. If you have roundtable discussion items
please see Mike or Dan. 3 person

X. Leadership Conference: Dan Marlow
- Dan
handed out a packet of info on the Mission for the Conference. Also handed out Registration forms for
the kids. If you need more
information or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Dan. Suggested that we approach KC Sports to
donate t-shirts to cut down the cost of the conference.
- Forms
are available on the VPA website.
XI. Activity Standards: Kathi Bierwith & Dan Marlow
- Activities
Standards will meet again on Dec 3 at U-32
XII. VPA Report: Bob Johnson
- Bob
thanked AD’s for help with football, field hockey and soccer tournament
games.
- Basketball
survey has gone out by email. Please return your responses ASAP.
- Winter
guides are posted at www.vpaonline.org
- Vt
School Business Managers are meeting on Dec 12 to discuss the IRS and how
it will affect official’s stipends.
Jeanne Hulsen will represent the VSADA at this meeting.

board complete with statistics.

Maker Pro: Great program to track athletes. You can keep all of their personal info, make rosters,
schedule games & merge letters. For more information or for a demo

Old Business
- Proposed
job description for the Executive Secretary position. Executive committee
will finalize proposal and talk about stipend for final proposal to group
in January.
- Calendar
Committee headed by Gomer Morgan has put together a proposed calendar to
go to ASC for review. Proposing to
start all fall sports on the same date.

XV. New Business
- Tournament
Game programs – Mike O’Day. Please find attached information. Please try and sell atleast 1 ad. This
money goes directly to supporting the VSADA. Deadlines are very important. Black and white photos are
needed for the programs.
- Website
proposal – Amy Molina. Proposed to spend $214.95 to set up our own
www.vsada.org website. Amy
volunteered to get it set up and running.
